A Look at Ram’s New 2020 Lineup

Ram Trucks have a solid reputation as a line of strong vehicles that define dependability and rugged hauling power. If you’re in the market for a new truck, Ram’s new 2020 lineup may have just what you need, building on the shift in style that started in 2019. Here’s what’s new for 2020.

Ram 1500

The Ram 1500 is in competition with the Ford F-150 and it does not disappoint. The powertrain on this 2020 model runs on a V-6 engine and new dark color trim. The EcoDiesel engine is right up there with the Chevrolet Silverado 1500’s fuel economy numbers. With 305 horsepower, the EcoDiesel manages to produce up to 22 mpg city / 32 mpg highway for the 2WD model, and 21 mpg city / 29 mpg highway for the 4WD model.¹

With many new colors, a night edition and pitch black 18-inch wheels available you can cruise at midnight with only your headlights. More advantages to the new Ram 1500 are a power tailgate, blind spot monitoring, heated seats in the back, a state-of-the-art navigation panel including automatic accident avoidance sensors and high beam lights that come on automatically.²

More About the Ram 1500

In addition to the great features mentioned above, the Ram 1500 offers multiple engine options. You can go for the 3.6L V6 Pentastar or opt for the 5.7L V8. Both are powerful engines that run on an automatic transmission. In order to improve fuel efficiency, Ram has introduced a new mild-hybrid technology known as eTorque. It comes standard on the V6 and is optional on the V8. If you go for the V8 you can get up to 385 hp, so it is worth considering if you’re looking for a bit more power, but the V6 is more than sufficient for many drivers.³

Lots Of Room

Another positive feature of the 2020 Ram 1500 is that it has a lot of room inside the cab, with a spacious backseat and many different choices for seating leather and upholstery. There is top-notch air-conditioning and internal controls as well as the option to install a RamBox® in the back to store your stuff securely. You can also opt for the crew cab option which is a size upgrade from the quad cab and choose different lengths of truck bed. All of these choices and many more lead to a price range starting at around $32,000 and ranging up to over $57,000.⁴

Staying Safe On The Road

Road safety is an important consideration as well, and the Ram 1500’s navigation cameras look in all angles while its automatically engaging brakes will stop in an emergency situation to prevent impact. There is more good news as well, since the 1500 Rebel model can be taken off-road safely it is more than able to handle the twists and turns off the beaten track.

Ram 2500 And Ram 3500

The Ram 2500 and Ram 3500 are also worthy trucks to consider. These are the workhorses of Dodge’s 2020 lineup and have many great new features. This includes a system that automatically keeps track of your tire air pressure and a camera system to help park and navigate. The 2500 and 3500 come in a wide assortment of models ranging from $35,440 on the low end to $64,795 on the high end.⁵

All in all, it is a great time to consider purchasing a Ram Truck and searching online for what is available is an excellent way to get started. There are some outstanding deals on great Ram Trucks that will surely satisfy your automotive needs.
